Effective: January 1, 2025By accessing or using the Campus Lifeline platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including students, faculty, staff, responders, and administrators.
Campus Lifeline is a campus emergency response platform that enables real-time communication between students, faculty, and first responders during emergency situations. The Service includes:

Accounts are subject to approval by campus administrators. The institution reserves the right to deny, suspend, or terminate accounts at its discretion.
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose — campus emergency response and safety. You must NOT:
False alerts are a serious offense. Submitting false emergency alerts may result in immediate account termination and may be subject to disciplinary action under campus policies and applicable laws.
Campus Lifeline is designed to facilitate emergency communication but does not replace official emergency services (e.g., 911). In life-threatening situations, always contact official emergency services first.
The platform does not guarantee response times or outcomes. Response availability depends on responder availability, location, and other factors beyond our control.
The Service uses location data to facilitate emergency response. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and sharing of your location data during active emergency situations. Location data is:
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the campus institution and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the campus institution and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, the institution, or third parties.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
